Most of the Americans, definitely including Trump, have the corny misconception that immigrants have low educational levels. In 2011-2015, 50% of the immigrants have college degrees (compared to 27% between 1986-1990). In 26 states of the U.S., average educational level of immigrants is higher than the native citizens. Even with declining power, U.S. is still the catnip for world-wide intellectuals.
